One more thing before I go....

Well... I found a minute to update again before I leave. I do at least know where I am going now. I am going to a small town in very, very south Costa Rica called Sabalito. It is almost in Panama and is a 7 hour bus ride. So I will be spending a good part of Sunday and Tuesday on a bus. It's not nearly as much fun as it sounds as there are not many buses in this part of the world built for people over 5' tall. I am excited though to get out of town a little bit and have some down time.

Thanks everyone for you love and support. I appreciate it. :)

So, now the adventure goes to the next level...I can only reiterate what everyone else has said, I am so proud of you. Do you know yet what your job will be? Maybe ESL?
Thinking of you often...

Dear Kel,
What a woman you are....you're so right that only a very small portion of society can go outside of their comfort zone for whatever reason. A person has to have more than a desire to help others to do it, I personally think it is a calling bestowed on a person by our spiritual being. If a person has good health so much can be done, but if there is no inner desire nothing will happen.
Over time one of the things you will find happening is that a Coke will not have the importance in your life as it once had. As the smells and tastes of your surroundings become more familiar you will look forward to the ritual of the day. We always joked that one had been in Cairo too long when the Greek olives tasted good and were missed when not served.
Part on your feelings now have to do with the anxiety over the unknown. Perfectly under-
standable, normal and in some ways a good thing. It makes one think beyond ones-self.
After viewing the pictures you sent I have the feeling that you don't have a sense yet of the good you have already done. Look again at the joy in the eyes and smiles of the children surrounding you; the joy you brought to them, no matter how briefly, will be a positive influence on them for their whole life. And one last thought, a lesson that took me a really long time to learn; true giving has to do with what one does for another, not what one receives from the giving. And it doesn't matter where you live or how small the task.

Take care, we love to hear from you. Love, Godmother

I agree with your godmother--You are indeed a remarkable person!! You may get comments from people you don't know, as I have been bragging about you and sharing your blog spot with some of my clients. Hope you don't mind, but something tells me you won't. I would love to see your pictures. Hope you have our e-mail.
Love ya lots--Aunt Cathy and Uncle Ron

Hey Kelley,
Wow, what a journey so far and now on to the next adventure. I can only try to imagine what you're experiencing, especially as I sit here in my air conditioned office, gazing at the traffic on I-70 as it whizzes past the mall and the West Glenwood exit. In so many ways your world right now is much more real and meaningful than the daily grind back home. Take care, be safe and hope you find that beach!
Love, Cheryl & Rich
